EA charging for weapons in Battlefield: Bad Company beta
According to this, EA is to charge for extra weapons in the upcoming Battlefield: Bad Company beta. In the XBLM, a total of ten weapons are locked that have text reading, “Available for purchase on Xbox Live Marketplace” next to them.
EA has yet to make any announcement regarding the news, and is unlikely to until next week, so there’s a bit of confusion surrounding the issue regarding what’s going to cost extra and what isn’t. Apparently five are the weapons may be made available in the collector’s edition of the game. Either way, you’d better start getting ready for some Korean-style micropayments in general: looks as though EA wasn’t as stupid as it was cabbage-looking.

Who would do that? Surely you can more then enough ‘fun’ with the standard weapons…Okay you might not be able to win against those who spent 20€ on virtual weapons, but that’s not really the point, is it? Primarily you play games to have fun (At least I do) and not to become the best virtual soldier/racedriver etc.

I think I’ll be too busy playing COD4 to bother…

I’m never going to play it, if I’m being honest. Skipped over all the Battlefield stuff. They’re supposed to be brilliant, though, so I’m not sure why.

Because they are generic WW shooters?
