Speaking in the Major Nelson podcast, DICE senior producer Carl Magnum has confirmed that EA shooter Battlefield: Bad Company will release for Xbox 360 and PS3 this summer.

"It's coming summer this year," he said. "We don't have an official date just yet."

Keys for the closed beta are going to be distributed by IGN, but Nelson's giving some away on his blog. No date has been given for the launch of the beta other than it's "coming up" and it's "pretty soon".
