Steel PS3 for MGS4 bundle in Japan

Given that it’s Japanese, it’s most likely going to be a 40gb model. So not much chance of BC in it. But you would kind of hope they’ll have bundled a DS3 by then. MGS4 uses it, ffs.

I think you pretty much get totally rogered for Japanese hardware regardless of who you order it from unless you can persuade someone to go there and bring one back for you.

Yep. It needs to be posted by hand with “gift” labels on it or you’ll get stung for import duty. Play-Asia won’t ship PS3s to the UK.

I’m not even sure if you could get away with it that way. They weight a ton, so it’d likely be opened at customs. I’ve bought lenses from Hong Kong, etc, and they get through OK, but I’m not sure a huge, really heavy box would pass muster.

Stick a handle on it and tell customs it’s your suitcase.

Or stick a tail on it, sit on it and pretend it’s a horse.

Remember, you can lead a horse to water but you can’t play Metal Gear Solid on it.
