Nvidia has finally put all the internet rumours to bed and officially announced, and apparently released, the GeForce 9800 GX2.
The card itself is a monster. How does 256 Stream Processors, a 600 MHz Core Clock, a 1500 MHz Shader Clock, a 1000 MHz Memory Clock, 1G Memory, 512-bit Memory Bandwidth, a 128 GB/sec Memory Interface and 128 (billion/sec) Texture Fill Rate sound?
Tempted? Well, at the time of writing the card is on sale at a few US retailers for over $600 with as of yet no price details for Europe, so only the hardcore need apply.
