America in wanting DualShock 3 non-shock
DualShock 3 has gone to second place in the Amazon.com charts prior to is release on April 15. There’s still no date for the rumbling controller in Europe, and there’s unlikely to be one particularly soon considering the upcoming GT5: Prologue bundle – dated March 28 – comes with a Sixaxis. So, logic dictates, if you had half a brain you’d probably wait for the new controller and something like MGS4 to launch in Europe before shelling out £300 or whatever it is on a games console that comes with a controller that’s going to be superseded before you can say “£50″ because that’s what it’ll probably cost even though the Americans get them for $50, especially when you already have some many games things you have to put them in the loft. That given, it’s unlikely SCEE’s silly enough to announce a date for it just yet. Just thinking, like.

Why do they appear to be still making the SIXAXIS? Can’t they just ditch it right away, and move on the DS3? I don’t get it. I know they must have had a backlog of the original pads, but surely they would have all shifted by now.

They must have their reasons, I guess. It’s a bit painful, though. It’s a real reason to not buy a PS3, assuming you know the DS is coming in the not so distant future. Bit rubbish, really.
