Take-Two devs are "diamonds", says Jensen

EA CFO Warren Jenson was more than complimentary towards Take-Two's development studios at the 2008 Morgan Stanley Technology Conference yesterday.

"We consider the people at Take-Two as diamonds," he said.

Commenting on whether or not EA's future innovations would come from any Take-Two-acquired development or from current studios, Jensen replied, "I think you're going to see both. We clearly look for innovation in all of our titles," mentioning FIFA 08, Madden 08, skate and Spore, all developed or in development at in-house EA studios.

In a conference call last Monday, one of the main topics of conversation was whether or not the likes of Sam and Dan Houser would be kept on if EA bought Take-Two. It's worth bearing in mind that the brothers' contracts are about to expire, diamonds or otherwise.
