Spore expected to sell 3-5 million in 2008

According to this, a range of analysts has provided sales estimates for Spore of between 3 and 5 million units in 2008, and a healthy revenue target of around $250 million.

"I think Spore will do at least 3 million units as a packaged product, and if it's as good as it looks, it has the potential to do twice that," said Wedbush Morgan's Michael Pachter.

Pachter has previously estimated that GTA IV will move 6 million units in the first six months after its late April launch, putting Spore in the very top bracket for sales estimates for this year.
